RE: More on path MTU discovery ~Rebecca Lopjumibergnivu 4.Jun.03 03:12 AM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0.1Windows 2000
I agree that reducing the MTU size may mask the problem, but it has still occured for me with MTU sizes as little as 500.
I have tried forcing ping packet sizes and targeting the failing servers, but I'm not sure if that will an accurate indication of the servers MTU, but it should show the path as a problem. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case.
I am happy to work through common elements of out environments. We have Win2K SP3 server, DN601CF1, DSL connection, nothing fancy, I have tried to eliminate variables under my control.
Being able to recreate the problem on demand would be a great help.
